In-person technology support
Conveniently located on the first floor of the Joseph Regenstein Library, the TechBar’s walk-in support is only minutes away from the academic heart of campus. Having problems viewing documents in Chalk or Canvas, connecting to the campus wireless network, or configuring a mobile device? We can help with almost any University technology resource — or get you to the right people. We’re equipped with a variety of resources to help you as quickly as possible.
Ask the Experts
Need to talk to an expert about a deeper IT topic, like 3D visualization, sound editing, or a special design project? We can serve as your IT ombudsperson and connect you with someone who can answer your questions in detail. Stop by in person or email firstname.lastname@example.org to get in touch.
The TechBar has space available to reserve for a convenient location to host a conference, class, or academic gathering. Facilities include a conference space that can accommodate up to 20 people and a private videoconferencing suite that can host up to six people. To reserve a space, stop by the TechBar or email email@example.com for a reservation. At least one week’s notice is recommended to reserve the space. There is no cost for space reservations or videoconferencing.
We offer free equipment lending for students, faculty, and staff. We stock PC and Macintosh laptops, iPads, and multimedia equipment, including digital cameras. We also have an assortment of cables, as well as video and power adapters. Most equipment is available for eight hours, while power adapters are available for two hours. For more information about the lending program, see the TechBar equipment lending terms and conditions page and the list of equipment available for lending.
