Description of Services

Microsoft Office 365 is a cloud-based suite of collaboration solutions that includes Exchange Online for email and calendaring, Office Online, and many other collaboration tools. Use Office 365 to connect with people from across the University community and share meaningful information:

  • streamline and simplify your work
  • develop working relationships
  • interact with your departments and teams


Office 365 is open to all current University of Chicago faculty, staff, and students. Access the Office 365 applications at

Gmail

Outlook

Microsoft Outlook enables faculty, students, and staff to securely access email messages through the desktop app, mobile app, and web browser.
Google Docs

OneNote

OneNote provides a place to host notes, drawings, screen clippings and audio commentaries and the ability to collaborate with others on these files.
Google Drive

Teams

Teams is a user-driven chat-based collaborative tool that provides a customizable team work space.
Gmail

Word

Word is a word processing application in which you can format text, insert images and tables, and lay out documents.
Google Docs

Excel

Excel offers the ability to organize and manipulate data in spreadsheets with sorting, calculations, graphing tools, pivot tables, and macros.
Google Drive

PowerPoint

With PowerPoint, you can create presentations with images, videos, animation, and formatted text with templates or custom slide themes.
